Promote Your Business Through Sponsorship

Sponsorship is an opportunity to advertise your business, provide financial support and be a good corporate citizen. Sponsors are the guardian angels of non-profit organizations, supplying much needed financial support to allow functions and events to be produced. Often times these events would not be profitable without sponsors.

As we begin the New Year, and many companies will begin planning their budgets for their next fiscal year, we thought we'd list the events through out the year that the Chamber seeks sponsorships.

New Member Reception
This is usually the first event of the calendar year. Sponsors help offset the cost of refreshments. Sponsors do not have to provide the location in order to sponsor.

Business After Hours-
Events hosted by businesses that provide refreshments for attendees. This is a perfect opportunity for an established business who is introducing a new product or service. If your physical location is not conducive to hosting the function, another can be arranged.

Monthly Networking Meeting
Networking opportunity on the 4th Thursday of each month (except December). Opportunity to host the meeting, bringing people into your place of business. Meeting also has a program, which may be presented by someone whose business location is not appropriate for hosting the meeting. Tips and information to help grow your business are provided. Each attendee has 1 minute microphone time to do a "commercial" for their business.

March - Job Fair
The Chamber partners with the South Carolina Employment & Security Commission to sponsor a job fair. In 2006 this was held at the Old Armory in Winnsboro, had 30 vendors (employers) and 500 job applicants.

April - Legislative Luncheon
State and Federal Legislators are invited to speak to membership about what's going on in the legislature and Congress that might affect local business. Table sponsorship for a table of 8 is $175. This date is dependent upon the legislator's availability. Sponsorship offsets the cost of food and printing.

May - Excellence In Academics
This is a recognition banquet honoring the top 10% of graduating seniors from each local high school. Recipients and parents are served a casual dinner. Honorees are given a plaque and a special T-shirt with "Excellence in Academics" and their graduating year in their school colors. Last they are also given a dictionary thesaurus. This event is co-sponsored by the Chamber and the Winnsboro Woman's Club.

June- Annual Membership Banquet.
The annual banquet is a combination business meeting and social event, including dinner and an open bar. New officers and board members are installed, awards and recognition for the past year's contributions to the Chamber are announced. Table sponsors, financial sponsors and door prize donations. Sponsors help offset the cost of entertainment, open bar, decorations, and food.

August - Back to School Bash
This was a new event for 2007. The Chamber would like to organize the combined efforts of several groups currently having separate back to school events. A combined effort will increase the effectiveness of the event.

October -Rock Around the Clock Festival
This is the largest and most expensive event produced by the Chamber. It is Friday night and all day Saturday. It is open to the public. Visitor pay only for food, the amusements and to enter the car show and everything else is free. This is because of the generosity of businesses and individuals in contributing as sponsors.
Sponsorships range from $100-$1000 to cover the cost of entertainment, stage and equipment, media advertising, amusements (charges to riders do not cover the expense), the Hot Dog Eating and Karaoke contests prizes, the car show stage and DJ, trophies and prizes; dinner for the Ft Jackson Color Guard and Band who appear in the parade, as well as Town employees and State Guard members who work Festival; Porta-Johns, directional and sponsor signs.
Sponsors names are included in mailings, advertisements and depending upon the event, signage. We will also include sponsor's names in our newsletter.

November - Small Business Recognition
This is a new event being planned for 2007. The luncheon will recognize the contributions of local small business and the importance of their contribution to the overall economic development of Fairfield County. Sponsors will offset the cost of the luncheon.

Please contact the Chamber if you would like to sponsor an event. Invoicing is available upon request.
