The Recreation center sets in the fork created by the split of US Hwy 321 into the Bypass (on the west side of the building) and Business (on the east side). Independent Road runs between the two roads on the center's south side. Independent Body & Muffler is located behind the Center and is closed on Saturdays, so their parking area can be used during the pageant.
I-77 from Columbia:
- I-77 North from Columbia.
- Winnsboro/Ridgeway exit Hwy 34.
- Turn left onto Hwy. 34 toward Winnsboro.
- Hwy 34 will merge into Hwy 321 (T intersection) approximately eight (8) miles from I-77, turn right and move to right lane to get on 321 Bypass at the light.
- Stay on 321 By pass through four (4) traffic lights (the fourth light will be at the intersection Hwy 200)
- From this intersection travel approximately .7 mile. Just past the Fairfield County Detention Center will be Independent Road. The building is just north of this street and has parking along this street in the rear of the building by the tennis courts.
- Parking is also available on the east side of the building accessed from 321 Bus.
I-20 from Columbia
- Take Exit 70 - Fairfield Road US 321 north.
- Approximately 24 miles at the south end of Winnsboro, after it widens to 4 lanes at the first light, stay in right lane to go onto 321 Bypass (BiLo grocery straight ahead.)
- Stay on 321 Bypass through four (4) traffic lights (the fourth light will be at the intersection Hwy 200).
- From this intersection travel approximately .7 mile. Just past the Fairfield County Detention Center (on your right) will be Independent Road. The Recreation Center building is just north of this street and has parking along this street in the rear of the building by the tennis courts.
- Parking is also available on the east side of the building accessed from 321 Bus.
From Chester:
- Travel Hwy 321 South to Winnsboro. At the split of Business 321 and Bypass 321 stay to the left (Bus). The Center is on your right immediately past the intersection. Parking in the center's lot is accessed from Bus 321. Additional parking is available on Independent Road.
From I-26
- Take Newberry Winnsboro Exit 74. Take Hwy 34 towards Winnsboro.
- Approximately 34 miles at intersection with US Hwy 321 Bypass turn left (north) (Hwy 34 turns left at this point joining 321 Bypass S)
- From this intersection travel approximately .7 mile. Just past the Fairfield County Detention Center (on your right) will be Independent Road. The building sets just north of this street and has parking along the street in the rear of the building by the tennis courts.
- Parking is also available on the east side of the building.
